Comes nicely packed with everything needed, the remote extender system works and it worked well sending the signal from my Lorex 4K camera system to the living room TV which is about 120ft of CAT6 Cable away. Not much more to say as it does what it's supposed do and my 4K 60Hz signal is reliable with no issues when switched on or off or when power is unplugged. It always comes back on perfectly which is what I wanted. The module sync on these newer units seem to be perfected, which was one of the problems I had with the previous unit that this replaced.

We just finished a tournament where these were working 20 hours a day for 4 days and they never missed a beat. We used them at 100 feet so a little less than half the 230 foot length that the ad gave as the maximum distance that the extenders would send the signal. After our experience we have no doubt that they would work at their maximum distance. HDMI is only good for 25 to 50 feet before signal begins to degrade so these are a real plus for those long runs.We normally would use wireless transmitters, but because of issues at the venue wireless was not an option. THESE EXTENDERS WORKED FLAWLESSLY. THEY'RE A GREAT ADDITION TO OUR EQUIPMENT!

I love this thing! This Sewell HDMI extender allows us to run a second HDMI display practically anywhere in the house, with only a network cable between the transmitter and receiver. With a range of ~230ft., and a built-in IR repeater, it really makes possible to completely decouple the display from the HDMI source. Picture quality is rock-solid and beautiful. The system supports up to 4K@60Hz. Thankfully, there is no lag, which would be a deal breaker for gaming. In case it's relevant, I'll share our use case. We have just one TV in the house. It handles streaming, gaming, DVDs. 90% of the time, we're all watching the same thing, so no issues. About once a week though, someone wants to play Xbox/Switch while the others don't. In those cases, we've been breaking out a portable HDMI display than can be placed near to the one doing the gaming. It works, but HDMI cables only reach so far (~25 ft.) and are bulky & cumbersome to deal with. So I was happy to see Sewell make this device available. I've attached the HDMI receiver to the portable display, along with a power bank, which allows us to place it anywhere within game-controller range of the base, and there's only the one Cat 6 network cable to worry about. Those are so much more flexible and less obtrusive than HDMI cables. This has really reduced the friction involved in using the secondary screen. Works very well for us.

Initial impressions are very positive. I wanted to connect my PS4 Pro which is typically connected to a monitor at my desk to our TV in the living room around the corner. Wireless HDMI was functional, but the input lag was too much for me. The Sewell Extenders worked great out of the box in plug and play fashion using a 100' Cat5e patch cable I already had. I like that the wall power is only needed on one side as the other unit works via POE. While I didn't have use for the IR repeater for this specific use, it is a nice to have feature should I decide to use this for AV use down the road. All in all, I am completely satisfied with the extender's performance. Now on to an odd behavior or maybe feature I noticed when first hooking up my PS4 Pro. At first connection my Pro's video output which was previously set to automatic decided to select HDCP 2.2, 4K and HDR on, none of which my 1080P TV natively handles, but it was displaying just fine. I was even able to adjust the HDR settings on my Pro. Played a bit of Mass Effect Legendary Edition like this and in game settings matched what I was seeing in the Pro's system settings. I'm guessing because the Pro was seeing the extender's capabilities before the TV's. I don't know how or why any of that worked. I've since set my Pro to output 1080P with boost mode enabled, and it switched to HDCP 1.4 like I would expect. Weird, but interesting.

This worked well to extend HDMI over some ethernet wiring I already had running through the walls. Now I can use my sources in one room to drive displays in two rooms. It was pretty easy to get working, very intuitive. It's nice you only need power on the sending end.
