I got this as an alternate to my other that was a little less, discrete in it pattern (M16s) this is a beautiful well made scarf, great for keeping sun and dust off of you in harsh environments.

I am not an expert on what a shemagh should feel like but I like the material in this one for my purpose. It does feel more polyester than cotton even though it is more cotton than poly. A washing may change that. That said, I have been wanting to get one as an alternative to a winter scarf for work. There are some good videos on Youtube about all the ways you can wrap it for different situations. My son liked his while verses in the heat and sand. All things considered, I am happy with my purchase, seems like a nice piece of kit.

Not 100% cotton, which is not a bad thing, but most others are, so I think it is important to highlight that. I think overall it will be stronger and more durable, and I imagine more consistent from one piece to another because of the poly in it. The fabric is also heavier and more ‘slippery’ kind of like a satin. If you are looking for a traditional loose weave cotton, this is not that. But it is a nice heavier stronger piece that should hold up to abuse better.

This is a 43" square tactical scarf. Compared to similar products from other vendors, this one is about the same size, but only has tassels on two opposing sides (instead of all the way around) and is made of a fabric with a noticeably tighter weave. The product packaging indicates that this is made of 100% cotton, though to the touch, it seems more like a synthetic blend. It is certainly much less absorbent of water. Most tactical scarves lay more like crepe, while this one seems much smoother. I like the camouflage pattern, "Shrowd", which is something like a cross between Multicam and ATACS-AU, with a lighter background color.Because the fabric lays very flat and smooth, and does not absorb water well, I suggest that this product is better suited to being a fashion accessory than a tactical scarf.

There is no way this is 100% or even 80% cotton -- it feels 100% synthetic. I thought that perhaps there was tons of sizing on the fabric that gave it that feel, so I immediately washed it. Nope -- it's not cotton. I cut off some of the fringe to do a burn test -- it melted.

I own a lot of shemaghs. Already had a few for my survival and EDC packs. And then when Covid hit, and there were store employees and security guards chasing you down and yelling at you about not having a mask on, I started wearing them instead of surgical masks. And bought more colors to match my outfits. This one is different. For one, it's much bigger than any of my shemaghs. They have been washed and shrunk, but I can still tell this one is bigger than they were before they shrunk.Which brings me to the material.I don't like how the title says, "100% Cotton", and then there is only the option for the 80/20 poly. I cant decide if I like the blend. It feels strange. Not completely unpleasant. It's just different. Has almost a slippery, oily feel to it? I think some would like it, and others wouldn't. Maybe a 50/50 split. The one thing I do like about that, is the poly may help to prevent shrinkage. Maybe that was their aim.The texture is different from what I imagined from the picture. It's smoother. What looks like some kind of waffle weave type of deal in the pic, is actually just little dots in the camo pattern.Which isn't too bad. Has more of an "urban" vibe to it. There are regular camo colors in there, but they're subdued with a gray tint. It's not my favorite, but it does look like decent camo, that is probably slightly above average in versatility, compared to other camos. Even though it's not a woodland/ocp type of coloring, I think it could still pull duty in the wild. Wish I could get it in CP/Multicam to match the rest of my gear.It is getting packed into a kit, which doesn't happen with at least half the gear I get, so it at least has that going for it. I will have to try it in hot/cold weather and see if I can distinguish any major difference between it and the standard cotton ones. Seems like it's a little cooler to the touch because of the poly. Might be welcome in the heat, and not so much in the Winter.Kinda has a modern, high-tech look/feel to it, like the next generation of Shemaghs. Seems halfway resonably priced. It's a little more than the average Shemagh, and substantially bigger. And it may not shrink as much.I think my only big gripe, is the white embroidered branding in the corner. One of my biggest pet peaves in tactical/camouflage gear. I know you want people to see your brand. I get that. If someone sees somebody with it, and likes it, they're much more likely to find it and buy it. Makes perfect sense. Except for when it comes to camouflage and/or tactical gear. If I'm wearing camo, it's either to blend in, or in case I need to. Sometimes, it's just because I like it. But for the first two reasons, I need it to be all camo. With no bright white, probably IR reflective, embroidered lettering or logos. Please and thank you. Teeny little tag in the back somewhere would do the trick, other than announcing your location, and hoping to make some extra sales off of it. LoL.I think Average Joe Shemagh Consumer would be pleased with it, and maybe prefer it over the classic ones a little bit. We'll see.If you're okay with the branding, I think you'll be satisfied with the quality, and feel like you got what you paid for, at least.

What I really like about this shemagh is that it’s super comfortable. Just the overall quality of the material is very good and lightweight too. All the tassels are well spaced and uniform, and the embroidered logo look good. Its large size should fit just about anyone, even if you have a big head like me. I don’t know that there is anything I’d really change as it was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Well worth the price, in my opinion.

So lets get started. The material is quite comfy, not to hot, not to cold, just right. It fits well, especially if you know how to manipulate it for what it is you need it to be at that time.It looks cool as well. The camp pattern is great, not to dark, and not to bright it fits between multi cam, and MARPAT in appearance. It breaths well even in the humidity of the south. If you are looking for a universal application item, look no further.
