I love wooden utensils over plastic ones, and this one has not disappointed. It feels good to hold, and has a pleasant rich colour to it. Using it regularly as a soup ladle, it has not weathered or cracked as others have.

It is porous and soft. The dishwasher doesn’t get all the food particles off it. Also doesn’t scoop up all the food in the edges of the pan.

I have used these to ladle out chili, soups, and sauces without any problem. I have washed them in the dishwasher top rack several times, also with no problem. Their other good feature is that they do not scratch my stainless steel pots and my pans.

Somewhat pricey, but a really nice ladle. Finish is nice and overall feels solid in use. Capacity is nice and generous. The handle is shorter than I expected. Keep that in mind if you are used to a longer handle. Did not affect the function or use for me, but it would be hard to get it to the bottom of a deep pot.

It’s not really the type of wooden ladle/spoon quality I’m after. And it didn’t help that it arrived chipped at the edge.
