I ordered this around two weeks ago. The first shipment came in missing parts. However, S&H responded to a message noting the problem. I did have to submit a photograph showing the missing parts. The seller immediately sent me a message and sent out a new part. I received it today, and it was in great shape. My only negative would be this item being shipped without a box. I feel if it were in a box the seller might not have issues with the item getting to the customers. I don’t know if they have experienced any other problems like this in the past. I am please with the quality of the PTO sleeve.

Quick ship. Fits my New Holland TC33 DA/Woods 7200 finish mower great. Easy to trim down as the kit is longer than my shaft.I like the quick release to grease the u joints. Spins freely without issue. Didn’t come with chain but that’s ok. I had used chain on other equipment but seems they sometimes get caught on something and do damage. This is a nice PTO cover that has many different plastic bearing choices, I have bought two of these now to do two of my PTO shafts that needed repair. They go together easy, but the grease fittings on the unit are useless, they don't get grease into the shaft area where it needs to go. Take apart & grease the shaft periodically. Other than that, I will buy this unit again if needed & recommend to others.

After fighting with an old shield for years thank you for one that not only works great but allows me to grease the u-joints without removing the whole shaft from the tractor. Great product, I will be replacing more with these.

Saw this on YouTube when in needed to learn how to replace a 15 year old shield that was falling apart. The real brilliance is that by snapping out some retainers, the ends are loosened and can slide back and you can access the grease fitting to do proper maintenance. That’s why people remove shield cuz they’re a PITA , then the exposed shaft skill people. So the fix is to make it easy to be safe. I salute them. Highly recommended.

Using the term "Universal" is misleading. A better description would be something like, "Replacement PTO shaft Shield - Fits.." followed by a list of tested applications.This replacement shield is affordable and adds a convenient way to access the U-joints for lubrication. It is made well, but I would only recommend it for PTO shafts that are specifically listed. I spent two days trying to get it to work on the shaft for my wood chipper and I never could get the plastic bearings that ride on the shaft to work. One bearing got so hot in a test of a few minutes it deformed.If you try this shield, after mounting the shield on the tractor, each end separately as well as the shield in its entirety should spin on the shaft very easily with little to no resistance. I ground, sanded, and honed the bearings trying to make that happen. The bearings I modified spun freely but one the shields were snapped into place they could only be turned with some force.It is a shame, really, because this is otherwise an affordable and quality shield.

I really like the design of this PTO shield. The ability to easily slide the shield out of the way of the connections on either end is fantastic.The description says the shield will fit my Size 4 BYPY PTO shaft. I was unable to find a bearing that fit the PTO side of the shaft successfully. I worked with the seller for a while until they gave up telling me "it looks like we only have PTO shields that fit the BYPY/Bondioli for series 6, 7 & 8 with the triangle tubing." Interestingly, the Bare-co site indicates that the small shield will fit "BYPY & COMER shafts up to and including series 4 with triangle profile drive tube." Someone appears to be confused. Either way, I continue to pursue an answer on this PTO shield as I still need one. I feel the Bare-co is an excellent solution and plan to task the company rather than the seller for an answer.
