This V-Mount Battery Grip by Smallrig Model SH73 is extremely well designed.I've owned many Smallrig products throughout the years and they do not disappoint; it's clear they're a brand of content creators who truly design with content creators in mind and this battery grip designed with fill lights in mind is of no exception. 2025 will bring forth battery powered grips from just about every company in the industry but thus far this one by Smallrig has to be best in class for it's widely compatible and will no doubt be timeless.This handle supports fast charging via USB C as well as high power output delivery and unlike any other battery hand grip I've seen thus far this one features a split design and supports V Mount batteries which is huge in my book.Such a design equates to longevity for its life span isn't determined by its battery cycle count like battery grips that have built in batteries. This grip has 1/4 20 screw which makes it widely adaptable and best of all this grip has D-tap power output. Broad 3rd party compatibility is must for me to ensure broad long term use.Overall I'm very pleased with the excellent design, craftsmanship, durability, portability and it's of excellent value in more ways than one.
