I got this to be able to dim LED string lights my light backyard, remotely turn them on and off, and set a schedule. They dim great, the remote control works with a phone app, but the scheduled on and off is garbage. I set it up once, and I was happy, but no matter what changes I make to the schedule the stupid thing turns on at the wrong time (original set time). The clocks changed an hour for daylight savings, and it’s staying lighter later as we head from winter to spring….I’ve updated the lights to turn on after sunset, but everyday they turn on when it’s bright and sunny. I’ve deleted the old schedule, created a new schedule, plugged and unplugged the thing and nothings worked to update the schedule…I’m sure you can do some factory reset, but if there’s an app and you adjust the schedule, the schedule should update and you should not have to jump through hoops.

I’ve tried almost a dozen times to get this device to connect to my phone via smart home app with no luck. Has super easy instructions on how to place in pairing mode, however the device is never detected.Manually pairing the device does not work either. The main reason I purchased was so I could use my phone or voice to turn on our string lights around our gazebo for hot-tub excursions. :(It does work though basic use. I can press the button on it to turn my lights off or on, as well as hold down the button to raise or lower brightness. I suppose I received a dud. Buy at your own risk.

This was easy to set up and works great! Can control from my phone or through Alexa and the app. Able to set up timers or turn on off through Alexa. Exactly what I was looking for to plug in patio string lights. Would also work great for Christmas lights.

I had trouble getting the unit to connect to our WiFi via my Android after setting up late one evening. The next morning, my daughter got it all working in no time from her iPhone and connected everything to Alexa, too. I attribute this to her skills more than the OS. Regardless, now we can turn on/off the lights, adjust intensity and set timers all from our phones or Alexa. This box has pretty much made our outdoor cafe lights just like any other light in our house that's connected to Alexa.UPDATE: My cousin's a construction contractor and thought the set up was really cool and wanted to add it to his cafe lights. He let me borrow a big ladder of his and a walking board so, what the heck! Just bought him one in appreciation for his help. And, yes, tech support from my daughter is included for initial set-up. :-)If you like Alexa or your phone adjusting your lights for you, this is the outdoor connection you need!

This is the second device I have purchased from this company recently. Totally by accident but I also have a WiFi fan wall switch I just installed. You have to use their app, Alexa or google to control the switch. I attached this wall switch to a strand of outdoor lights and it works perfectly. I have it come on automagically every evening and turn off at bed time. The dimmer feature is nice as is the connection to Alexa. We have echo’s throughout the house and allows for voice control of the switch as well.

Came in great packaging and was quick to link to Smart Life for easy Alexa control. Our only issue was placement, since flat plug does not rotate and the only screw slot provided is on one short end, promoting vertical hanging. Our location required horizontal placement under an eave. Had to rig our own strapping system under the soffit and wind our extension cord around it and back just to plug it in. So, the connection looks awkward but the dimmer works great.

This is by far the easiest smart outlet to set up. I've installed a number of smart bulbs and outlets, and this one was the easiest. I downloaded the app, followed the instructions and it worked right away. I would highly recommend this outlet for that reason alone, (The others I've tried to configure took several tries and a few headaches). It appears to be well made, although I've only had it a few days, and weather and dust proof. The the iOS App for my smart phone is user friendly and intuitive, and it allows for turning on/off the power, setting up schedules and adjusting the dimmer. It also helps the user to integrate the outlet with Alexa and Google. I do recommend this product and will probably buy more smart devices from this seller in the future.

This wireless dimmer works great for my backyard LED string lights. Setup was quick and easy. Each of my string light bulbs is only 1 watt so you’d think they wouldn’t be too bright but they are…sometimes. This wireless switch plus dimmer came to my rescue. Now I can choose to have the lights on at 100% if I want or as low as 1% for low ambiance...it’s my choice, all using the app on my phone to control the dimmer switch.
