I made the mistake of forgetting to oil this on my first try, and it took 2 days before the bait would peel out of the mold. I am happy to report that I've shot it many times since with great luck. A small brush really helps spread the wom oil throughout so that it remains nonstick.

Great little mold for 4" split tail shads with belly hook slot. The alignment pins are well placed and solidly installed. This is the first mold from this manufacturer I have received that was actually the orange material. Most of them are artificial stone, but I don't see any difference in the durability of the material. The vent holes on this mold are minimal, and all that are needed for a good fill. The mold fills easily and the baits remove without sticking, so long as you keep the mold oiled properly. A small quantity of oil is included which should last you quite some time. The only real downside to this is something in the instructions. There is a section that states that each mold is tested, but the mold arrives bone-dry with no evidence of any oil or silicone in/on the mold. There was still residual dust on the mold from the CNC curting. Some other manufacturers I have molds from will actually leave the test pouring/injection in the mold as proof of testing.

Nice stone mold. It shows that it’s plastic but it’s made of stone.

This double 4" Super Fluke soft plastic lure mold was made in Ukraine and is heavy duty being made from stone powder and polymers to create a low-porous and very durable mold. There are air vents on each side which are designed to release the air inside the mold to ensure soft plastic fills every detail in the mold. The 5/8" wide injector port is compatable with most soft plastic injectors. The detailed design of this mold is amazing and easily compares with more expensive aluminum molds. The 4" Super Fluke is a very popular soft plastic bait for catching bass and other freshwater gamefish and works great with a spinner jighead or as a trailer. The design of this bait is very similar to the ones you can buy from bait shops. Making your own soft plastic lures is a fun and productive way to utilize your creativity with mixing colors and adding flash for creating the perfect fish catching lure. There are instructions included as well as a small bottle of oil for lubricating the mold prior to each use. I highly recommend this high quality stone lure mold to all anglers who are into making their own soft plastic baits.

The price of lures are getting out of hand. I got this to try to make my own. I have never done it but found this to be easy. I melted some old, torn lures. I added it to the mold and saw no leaks. I let it sit about 5 minutes, not sure how long you have to let it cool. After 5 I pulled it out and let it sit another 30 min. The shape is cool hutore importantly, I caught a fish on my 4th cast. Not saying it was the lure, but it felt great to catch it on something I made.

My headline really says it all. I go through a fair share of 4" zoom flukes during the year, and with these, now I can make my own and save some money, especially in the colors I use a lot of (mostly pearl white). I have several other molds from this company and have no problem recommending them.As a bit of encouragement for those who fish a lot and use plastics, but don't make their own plastics, it's expensive at first just to get the start-up things you need (plastic, colors, molds, etc.), but after you get those, I believe you'll make your money back over time...plus, it's fun!
