These are very basic ladles made with a hemispheric bowl tack welded to a bent sheet metal handle. The handle is formed slightly to make it a bit more rigid, has a hole in it, and the end is bent over to allow you to hook it on a rail or prevent it falling into a pot.Why 3 stars? The place where the handle is tack welded to the bowl creates deep crevices that will be nearly impossible to clean. While the bowl is very rigid, the handle is fairly flimsy, and not especially well finished. That all adds up to a ladle that is probably best used for dry items, or left at home.By 3 stars I don't mean that these ladles are unacceptably bad for any purpose, and at $3 per ladle you get what you pay for, but these could present a food safety risk due to trapped contaminants and pathogens, so if you use these for food you need to be aware of safe food handling practices. Contrast this with a Winco ladle that costs about $1.50 more but has a seamless join between the bowl and handle so you can sanitize them properly and they don't trap food.
