WHY WE MANUFACTURED THE SPIDER LD1:
The Kiwami Spider LD1 is part of our Spider Collection, our Elite line. The entire Spider collection uses a highly technical fabric that combines several qualities:
- Light yet very resistant to regular usage
- Mildly compressive
- Stretchy enough to adapt to every athlete's physiology
- Water repellent
The Spider LD1 is particularly designed to race long distance triathlons, ranging from half distance to full distance. It is worn during the 3 legs of the race. The compression felt in the quads and hamstring, in particular, are very efficient at supporting the muscles and reducing the onset of fatigue.
The 5 optimally placed pockets offer plenty options to store your nutrition. The dual density pad is particularly adapted to sustain long hours on the bike Yet it's slim enough and will not impede the run.
The leg grips are made of 4" wide soft and light neoprene that assures perfect adherence.
It is no surprise that the Spider LD1 has been adopted by countless long-distance athletes and has won many Ironman races.
NOTE: this suit can be occasionally used in chlorinated water. The fabric is extremely sturdy and can sustain some aggressive conditions. It is highly recommended to abundantly rinse off after usage; no soaking is necessary.
