I am a fan of finely grated cheese and every time I order graters and it says it for fine grated cheese it is not . At least not to me. it'll be kind of fine but not how I like it .I like my cheese very thin and I like a lot of it .so when I came across these I had to try them .I'm so happy the fine cheese grater on this is perfect no matter what kind of cheese you grate on it it comes out nice and thin it's just a matter of how much cheesy cheese to grate. I don't mind the manual grating. In fact I kind of prefer it. I've noticed that my rotary type cheese graters tend to break faster than these kinds these ones are incredibly well made by the way I am super excited and I plan on keeping these for as long as they last and hopefully that's a long long time.

This seems to be very nice set of compactly sized graters, at a reasonable price. But there are a few issues. I have a set of full sized graters and I noticed that the one I use most (with medium-sized holes) is starting to get a little dull after years of use. I was going to just buy another one, but the same brand doesn't seem to be made in the USA anymore, and they are quite pricey. So, I was happy to find this set.I find this type of grater with a handle and only one grating pattern much easier to use than a box grater with a different pattern on each side. Just personal preference, I guess. I like that this set comes with a grater with tiny holes that can be used as a zester, one with small holes for fine grating and one with medium-sized holes that are pretty close to my old one. These graters feel quite sturdy and the stainless steel cutting surface is polished to a mirror shine as is the frame. The handles have a satin finish + a loop at the end for hanging. The handles are oval-shaped so they feel secure and comfortable in my hand. Despite the small size of these utensils, the handles are also long enough that I can use the graters effectively at different angles. The grating surfaces have a rather pronounced curve which is not ideal in my opinion, as I usually just end up using the center, a rather small area. All three graters are quite sharp. The cutting surfaces are firmly anchored into the frame so there is no wobble. I tested the medium grater with a couple of types of cheese, a raw potato and a carrot, and I was happy with the size of the pieces. Grating cheese didn't require much time or effort. But it did take me a while to grate an entire veggie, so these graters might be best for finishing touches. I tested the small one with a zucchini, which again was quite easy and I quickly ended up with a nice pile of small shreds to use for zucchini bread. I didn't have any citrus or parmesan on hand so to test the zester, so I just tried a carrot (and got some very, very fine shreds) and the zucchini (which just turned to mush on the back of the grater).I wanted to like these graters and they seem to be well made, sharp and durable. Aside from the limitations of size, which were clearly shown in the description, the only downside I have come across is that on the medium-sized grater, the upper edge of the cutting surface (near the top of the frame) is smoothly finished. But the lower edge (near the base where the frame enters the handle) is actually quite rough which might be hazardous to my fingers if I'm in a hurry to grate something. Of course, I expect the cutting surface to be sharp, but not the beveled edge. I figured this was just an oversight affecting one grater. But I checked the others, too. And the zester is just the same, and the small grater is rough on both edges! My husband said he would smooth them out for me. This might not be much of a problem for adults, at least once they are aware of the problem as they probably already know to handle utensils like this carefully. But I would not let even older kids use these graters. And for anyone contemplating a purchase, I would recommend checking over these graters thoroughly before use. I looked at all of my other graters (I have quite a few) and none are like this. I would have given this set of graters four stars if the edges had been properly finished.
