Have an old Surform (1970's red/black handle) similar to the Stanley 21-295 but could not find a blade to suit at all the local outlets. This fit perfectly and have used a number of times since purchase. Appears my original was a 21-293A Surform Flat Blade with saw tooth which is also available on Amazon and will order as a backup.Absolutely no problems or breakage while attaching the blade or normal use as noted in some reviews.

I previously submitted the following as vendor feedback on the seller "Big Red Tool Box":"Item arrived with a sharp bend of ~15 degrees about 2" fromone end which cracked half way across when I tried to straightenit to put it in its frame/handle. Still, I kept it as it still works tofinish the grinding of P-tex on ski bases after repairs. Note thisdefect does prevent it from being used in its intended frame/handle."...but then almost immediately received an email from Big Red Tool Box offering to address the issue with the blade being bent in shipping. I subsequently went back and could not edit/delete that seller review (what's up with that Amazon?) to acknowledge their timely response so I'm doing that here/now.The "fine-cut" blade works great for my needs. I first use a standard-cut Surform to remove excess P-tex when repairing the bases of my skis then follow with the fine cut to finish/smooth things off. Note that the fine-cut blade itself looks almost identical to the standard cut but has less relief in the crenulations and definitely cuts more slowly which is what I wanted.
