This is probably the highest possible quality I could have even imagined it could be. It fit my shipping container as intended and would be a serious pain to get past!However, my concern is with the lock cylinder position. It's either facing up to catch all debris and moisture, or facing down making it extremely awkward to access.It does include a small rubber cover that covers the lock but it's low quality and I don't expect it to last well at all.

This will definitely add an additional visual and physical deterrent to any would be thief. It is quite beefy. The welds are a little sloppy with some visible bubbles and there is metal debris stuck in the paint. I did read the warning label but could not figure out a way to "turn off the shipping container" prior to installing the lock, so I just had to live dangerously and put it on with the container still "turned on". And believe it or not we need a warning to remove the lock before opening the door. But overall it appears to be a good security addition. Time will tell how long it will hold up in the weather.

I use shipping containers for storage on the property and when I am away, I want to make sure that what I am storing stays put and does not disappear. In my quest to find a better solution I came across this.Here are my thoughts:The lock arrived quickly and was packaged well for what it is. The box was made of thick cardboard, and it protected the device quite well. There is a sheet of English translated instructions included, but they are unnecessary.The locking mechanism itself is covered with a pliable plastic cap that folds out of the way when it is time to lock or unlock the device. It is quite tight, so I imagine it will keep the critters out of the important parts. The lock is of tubular design, which is more difficult to pick than a standard lock.It is adjustable as you can see in the pictures, so it will work on a variety of different setups.It installed quickly and locks the container securely. Even if someone was able to remove one or more of the bar locks, it still holds the doors securely shut. Someone would have to literally have to remove the two inner bars entirely, which would take some serious time.This met my needs, and I am confident it will yours as well.Highly recommend.

I ordered this heavy duty cargo door lock for my shipping container. They weren’t exaggerating about that "heavy duty", as it weighs about 15 lbs and it would take awhile to angle grind through. The color is very bright and it will be easy to see whether it's locked from a distance. Mine came with two keys that fit easily but there's also a combination lock model if that's better for your application. The tubular lock has a plastic cap that fits over it to protect from rust or grime. It fit our standard shipping container perfectly.

The steel feels thick and I can adjust it to fit different door bar spacings. Setting the 4-digit code is simple with the included reset tool, and I don’t have to worry about lost keys. Installation took me a few minutes. I slid the tubes together, pressed the pin into place, and dialed in my combination. The lock sits securely. The bright color makes it easy to check if it’s engaged from a distance. And the weather cap keeps debris out of the mechanism, so I think it won’t fail prematurely.
