These are what you want to get for your daughters ballet class. These come in different colors with the most popular being a 'nude' color or black. The white ones were for recital. Some FYI, for recital, keep your shoes brand new in the box with just a try on to keep them clean and recital/competition ready. Day of recital is for 'breaking in the shoe' Since these shoes are very flexible and made of leather 'break in' isn't really bad, not true for older girls shoes as they progress.

The toes are a little larger than I expected, however by pulling the strings at the front allow you to tighten the toes as much as needed. These would be great for children who have wider feet and find normal ballet shoes to be to tight. These are at a great price point, and I wouldn't feel bad if I have to buy my daughter another pair this year. We bought another more expensive pair last year and the straps broke a couple of months in. These seem to be holding up much better so far.Update: These held up for us throughout the whole year of dance (4 year old dance lessons). I was worried at first since they were so cheap that I may have to buy another pair, but at this price point, I didn't mind. However, I was very happy to see that they lasted the entire year. I would definitely recommend these to parents whose children are just starting lessons and don't want to invest too much money.

The shoe itself seems fine. I was looking for something reasonably priced that would work for my 6 year old. Trying to determine what size to buy was a guessing game. I had to return the ones initially purchaed and had to buy a full size smaller than her street shoe size. Once I had the correct size length wise it still seemed they were slightly wide. Although I don't think it will pose a problem.

Fantastic ballet slippers. They’re good quality and your child is more likely to outgrow them before they out wear them. They come with the elastics already sewed onto the slippers. Once my child gets older I’ll want us to have the flexibility to choose where to place the elastics to best fit his feet but while he’s still really young it’s nice to be able to take them out of the box, put them on, and go straight into class. I bought the black, required color for the studio we go to for boys. The color is good and hasn’t had any wearing to it. Some of the other cheap brands we’ve bought have had early color wearing or the color has rubbed off onto other items in his dance bag. Great show for very young dancers!

For the value, it doesn't get much better than these ballet shoes. My daughter is 3 and outgrew her previous ballet shoes, so I was looking for something inexpensive since she will outgrow them again quickly. I originally bought a 10 due to looking at the sizing chart and then going up a size, but they were WAY to big and I realized that the sizing chart is just generic and not specific to these ballet shoes. Returned and got a 9 and they fit much better, with room for growth as I planned. They seem wider than the Bloch shoes she wore previously, but I was able to tighten these with the strings and they are great. No complaints now that we are in the right size! They seem to be of good quality and she likes them.

The sizing is larger than street size.Which was hard to tell from sifting through the reviews. My son wears an 11, which fits him rather exactly.I measured his foot for the sizing chart suggested, and came up with a size 10.The sizing chart seemed like a general chart for all the shoes, not the company itself, so we ordered down a half size and went with a 10.5.They have the littlest bit of growing room, but are not excessively large. As other have mentioned the pull string around the foot really helps the fit. Many of the reviews also complained about them being too wide.My kiddo has some long skinny feet, and these are definitely narrow enough for him.Other than being stressful to figure out a size, the shoes are absolutely wonderful.Well made and comfortable.

My 6 year old daughter JUST fits into a size 12 shoe. I ordered her a 12.5 to be safe and they fit well with a little room to grow (just as I'd expect a shoe 1/2 size too big to fit). I don't think we could have made the 13 work for her, so I wouldn't recommend going up a whole size. They are pretty wide, but the drawstring at the toe is functional, and I was able to cinch them up enough for a great fit on her narrow feet. She has only worn them once so far, but she tells me she likes them and they are comfortable. I'd recommend buying this shoe in your child's regular shoe size or only slightly bigger if you want some room to grow.

Be advised that this shoe T1000C is a child size... meaning more like toddler or infant. I ordered shoes for my 4 children who are ages 5, 7, 10 and 12 and what I received were infant/toddler shoes. In order to get the "adult" size (which is what I needed) you need to find the T1000 shoe. I ended up ordering them over the phone directly from Discount Dance Supply. That way I was able to give them my children's street shoe size and they did the conversions to know which size slippers we needed. Returning the wrong sized shoes to Amazon was no problem, but for the ones that came from Discount Dance Supply I had to pay the return shipping. I have not yet received the correct sized shoes from Discount Dance Supply, so we have yet to actually test the shoes performance.
