About this item

  • Cast iron flange housing with the standard four bolt holes for use in industrial field applications
  • Sealed single row ball bearing
  • Extended inner ring for increased shaft support
  • Self-locking collar for securing to shafts
  • Stainless steel grease fitting on housing for reapplying lubricant

This Timken TCJ series flanged cartridge bearing unit has a cast iron flanged housing with four bolt holes for use in field industrial applications. Within the housing is a double rubber sealed single row ball bearing that has a wide, extended inner ring for providing additional support to the shaft and accommodating additional lubrication. The bearing locks to the shaft with an eccentric (asymmetric) self-locking collar that is further secured with a setscrew. Instead of conventional rubber seals, the bearing has Timken’s Tri-Ply seal system on both sides, with three layers of seal protection to keep out contaminants such as dirt and grime and hold in lubricant. The housing has a stainless steel grease fitting for lubricating the bearing unit. TCJ series cast iron flanged cartridge bearing units are used in industrial field applications where excessive moisture and contaminants are common, such as agriculture, fisheries, mining, and logging, among many other applications.

Ball and roller bearings ISO 9001 Ball and roller bearings ISO 16949 Aerospace ball and roller bearings (excluding design and development) AS 9100 Ball and roller bearings and bearing components for aerospace EASA Part 145, EASA Part 21 Ball and roller bearings inspection CAAC Certificate

Rolling bearings use rolling elements to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. These elements can be one of the following types: ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindle, or tapered. All rolling bearings are open, shielded, or sealed. Sealed bearings are lubricated with oil or grease in the bearing factory, while open and shielded bearings are meant to be lubricated in place, with periodic reapplication of lubrication, based on use. The shield protects the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris that may be introduced and could reduce the ball bearing speed and lifespan. Rolling bearings are used in a range of applications from agricultural machinery to conveying equipment, robotics, dental equipment, elevators, rolling mills, ship rudder shafts, and aggregate crushers, among others.

The Timken Company manufactures a variety of bearings, alloy steels, and related components and assemblies that meet International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards for quality assurance. Founded in 1899, the Timken Company is based in Canton, Ohio.
