If you are using your track saw in very hard wood or plywood it can drift off of square. This little attachment easily attaches to your rail and helps keep your cuts to a standard 90 degrees. Very easy to assemble and attach, this is one of those items you wonder how you made decent cuts without it. While it won't change the world, it will help you with your square cuts. Recommended.

Ignore the inadequate instruction sheet that comes with the square. Just use the better illustrations and instruction on the vendors Amazon page. Most important is snapping the clamp before screwing down the knurled knobs. That ensures that everything is actually square. I'll be checking the angle against my engineer's triangle for more than the first few uses, just because the setup makes me a little nervous and that 90-degree angle is always crucial.This square fit my Festool track perfectly, and it also fit my two extra Powertec tracks (Yikes, those festal tracks are pricey). My Festool tracksaw didn't at all mind the extra square hanging off the track. I wish there were a little more explanation: Like why do the two edge supports have two holes and when should you use the inner or outer ones?Anyhow, overall I look forward to the time and energy saved setting up each cut.

Solid machinery. Made of aluminum, installed on my track within seconds, and it squared itself when tightened and clamped. Works great and locks into place well. It solves a problem with a track saw because it can be easy to drift away from square.
