The tube is brass, but is the funnel? Anyway it works as advertised.

I don't have a muzzleloader (yet). I used this as part of a steampunk mad scientist costume - I had a bandolier filled with test tubes, and stuck this in one of the loops. For filling tiny test tubes it works very well. I imagine it would work just as well for filling the barrel of a muzzleloader. It's definitely durable.

I have a 40yr old powder flask and ordered this funnel wondering if it would work. Perfect! It screwed right in and extended deep enough to hold the spring loaded shutoff open. Makes filling the flask easy.

Looking at the photograph and reading the description, you'd think this was a brass funnel. And the packaging certainly says "solid brass construction."It's not. The front part is, but it's friction fitted (barely) to a softer, dull grey metal tube. The packaging also mentions the funnel contains lead, which no one in their right mind uses in commercial goods any more.To top it off, the mouth and the tube separated when the item rolled off a table and hit a stone.Bottom line, not as advertised, ugly, poorly made and contains lead. This junk goes back.
