While wearing copper jewelry, the skin underneath the copper will often turn green or black depending on your skin tone. Discolored skin is the result of a normal chemical reaction between the copper jewelry and the oils, salts, and acids in your skin. This discoloring of your skin is not harmful and will fade when you stop wearing copper jewelry. Just like pennies, copper jewelry will tarnish or patina with time. Many people prefer the look of copper once it achieves a patina. You may choose to polish it back to its original luster with toothpaste, a lemon or lime with salt, baking soda, brass polish, Polishing cloth also works great at removing tarnish and grime: *Size and Fitting* A bracelet will fit that is between 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch smaller than the wrist. This allows for the gap in the cuff for putting on and removing the bracelet. The size selected is the size I ship unless told otherwise. These are size ranges. The bracelet can be slightly adjusted smaller or larger which makes fitting easier. If you are wanting a more precise fit then please include your exact wrist measurement in the notes with your order.
