I keep these on hand for the summers. If we notice a horses manure getting dry we give them a paste for a few days. Definitely helps their body hold fluids.

I found this product after trying a few other electrolyte pastes, and love that it helps Mr. Handsome rebalance his system when we've had a long trail ride.If your horse isn't keen on having syringes in his mouth, try this:• make sure your lead rope is long enough so you can raise your horse's head after administration of the syringe. Dial in the dose you want to give.• get some healthy treats (carrots, apple bits, non-molasses cookies).• remove cap tip from the syringe. Let your horse sniff the syringe, nose it.• then give him a treat. Praise him, stroke neck, say 'good boy'• repeat two or three times• Insert your thumb or finger in side of horse's mouth, GENTLY insert the syringe tip into the mouth, going fairly well in. Depress plunger, paste will go in the mouth, withdraw syringe, hold up your horse's head so he doesn't drop the paste or shake it out.• Offer another treat. Praise him.My only dislike of this product is that the side paddles where your index finger and middle finger rest are too small. It can be difficult to maintain grip when inserting the syringe on a horse that's moving it's head. Speed is important at this stage, and it can be difficult to keep the syringe in position because your fingers can slip off.My horse seems to like it, I feel good knowing I'm helping his body regulate, and that helps me sleep better, knowing he's cared for.

I use Lyte Now a lot. First time I ordered from Amazon as I needed it quick. I'm used to the resistance of this product getting it out of the syringe. I had to remove from syringe with knife a mix with water

I ended up ordering these in a hurry for a race, even though I strongly prefer the smaller one dose syringes. These monster syringes are a PAIN to try to give directly in my horse's mouth, so I usually hulk-arm it into an empty 60 mL catheter tip for easier application (and forget about it in the winter - it's too hard!). The paste electrolyte is still super handy for long trail rides to keep your horse hydrated without messing with the powder electrolytes.

The tubes were both expired by about 2 weeks. I don't think it is that big a deal if I use it this summer, but if you are keeping it long term for First Aid. Beware.

I love Uckle products overall so I was quite excited to find they make an electrolyte paste as well. It isn’t packed full of the unneeded sugars many others are. I know if needed, I can rely on this product to give my horse a good, healthy boost after strenuous activity or injury. Always good to keep in my first aid kit.The photo shows two tubes of paste but please note, this listing is for one tube of electrolyte paste only.

This product does not contain as much sugar as many other electrolytes, which is positive
