I haven't used it yet, but my unit has the battery polarity marked wrong. It's normal for the spring side to be negative, but mine is marked backwards. I looked at that and thought I'd better put the batteries in the way it's marked. Nope, nothing. So I reversed the batteries, and the screen lit right up. Hopefully I haven't damaged it.

This torque adapter is a great tool—accurate, simple to use, and full of useful features. I compared it with my click-style torque wrench, and the readings were very close. Setting torque directly on the adapter is quick, and the color-changing screen (green to blue to red) with an audible beep makes it easy to know when you’ve hit your target.It’s designed for 1/2" drive sockets but includes adapters for 3/8" and 1/4", which adds versatility. You’ll need your own adapter if your ratchet isn't 1/2", but that’s no big deal if you’ve already got a decent tool kit.A standout feature is its ability to read torque in reverse—perfect for estimating how tight a bolt was when removing it.The included plastic case is a great bonus—keeps everything organized and protected. For the price, this is a solid, reliable tool I’d absolutely recommend.

This came in a decent plastic case. Came with the batteries need (AAA). Device is built for use with a 1/2” drives, but comes with adapters to go from 1/2” to both 1/4” and 3/8” drive for the sockets. Came with a hex key which I couldn’t figure out what it was for, until I realized it was a Phillips screwdriver on the end, which is for removing the cover to insert the batteries. Tested it against my other torque wrenches, it stayed within the 1% accuracy that it advertised. Tested at 25 lbs, 50 lbs, 125 lbs and 200 lbs. I recommend this to someone that would need a torque wrench, but don’t want to store a big wrench or pay a big price for one.

This torque adapter is very easy to use. I took a couple of quick measurements with this in between a bolt and my click torque wrench and it was close to the set torque on the wrench. I then tried using this torque adapter to tighten a bolt with a torque that I set on the adapter. This was easily done. As you start getting close to the set torque, the adapter screen turns green, the blue as you get closer. When you hit the torque, it beeps and turns red. The torque adapter is for a 1/2" socket, however it comes with adapters for a 3/8" and 1/4" socket. Unfortunately, you will have to provide an adapter if you want to use it with a ratchet other than 1/2" (easy for me as I already own the right adapters).In particular, I like that this torque adapter will give a reading for torque in the reverse/counterclockwise direction. I have had times when I wanted to know roughly how much torque it required to remove a bolt to get me an approximate torque for reinstalling the bolt.

Nothing really negative to say. Came in a small plastic box/container that looks like it will last awhile. Included are adapters to go to 3/8 & 1/4 and an Allen looking key which actually has a Philips on one end to use when installing the batteries. Started up as described. I set it to track, then to 50ft-lbs and the colors changed as described ending with red when it hit the set torque value. I compared it to my mechanic torque wrench and it was off by about 4%, however I'm guessing its more accurate as I haven't calibrated my mechanical one in quite a while since I no longer have my vise to use. Plus "Alex" has certified it. Very easy to set torque values, change units and modes. I appreciate when manufacturer doesn't hide all the functions by only using 2 buttons or some such contraption. This has buttons for each function. The fit and finish of the included adapters and the attachment points on the unit is excellent. No slop with my gear wrench tools.

I did some tests with this on my car lug nuts which are spec'd for 129 lb-ft of torque. I get the green and blue indications but the red seems to not trigger reliably and I overshoot a bit. Not sure if it's due to my breaker bar being a little shorter than my torque wrench so the pressure may not be quite as smooth or.... ? Settings can be a little confusing at first so will take some repetitions to get the buttons down.I don't have anything reliable enough to verify the accuracy of the torque unfortunately. Unit appears to be reasonably built and includes the small pictured hard case which opens sideways which a nice touch.
