Nice item, should be directed just for cats. My small yorkie bit through the material. I had to take from her didn't want her to swallow pieces.

We have 2 mini dachshunds, which love to hunt for stuff and was looking for an interactive toy for them. I bought a food puzzle and this ball thinking if they did not like it then I have friends with cats that might like it. I don't leave it down all the time and not sure I would use it for a large dog that was a chewer, but as a play toy for our dogs they love it. I use it on slow and they are very interested in it, but a little afraid at first. They now play with it, but sometimes still jump back when it moves on them. Because I only put it down every couple of days for 30 minutes or so they love it and have fun every time. While I don't have a cat now, I've had many over my life and wish I had a toy like this for them. Would probably leave down more for a cat, but with the dogs I don't want them chewing it up, plus its always seems like a new toy as they don't have it every day. I would recommend this for cats and some dogs

My cockapoo wouldn't put it down, loved chasing it around the house. After 30 minutes of playing with it the bar popped off and her teeth got ahold of the edge of the rubber wrap and torn it off before I could pry it away. The bar just snaps on and off, not very secure for a dogs mouth, even my small one.
