These last forever. Can use without straps. Which I like.

Hi! I like how I can wear these in the water and use for different kinds of workouts. I also use them for swimming as well.I haven't experienced any issues with the size and fit. I figure if it becomes uncomfortable or too loose, I’ll throw on some thin gardening gloves before putting these on.I just did a bunch of butterfly presses and I’m feeling the muscle soreness a lot more versus just using my hands. As a very active older person, it’s nice to find a product that doesn’t break the bank and/or cause me to hurt myself from overdoing it.I have nothing negative to say and easily can give this 5 stars as I’m very pleased with the hand paddles. Hope this is helpful.

My kids have tried various hand paddles. They settled on Finis hand paddles because they are effective and super sturdy - they are not like other hand paddles where rubber rings or things can fall of it. These Bairuifu hand paddles are just as good as the Finis paddle. I thought the silicone band will add to the drag and get in the way but it doesn't. It sufficiently helps with holding the paddle in place that my younger ones actually prefer these over the Finis. We'll have to see if the band lasts but even if the band breaks, it doesn't matter. You can just snap the band off and it will behave just like the Finis one. It even comes with its own carrying case which should help it last longer too. I highly recommend these paddles!

I've been using TYR hand paddles for a few months and thought it would be fun to compare these to the TYRs.Sadly, I like the TYRs better as they catch the water better and are more comfortable. The rubber on the back of these paddles that helps to hold the paddle to your hand flaps around as I swim, which feels rather odd. These paddles don't catch the water nearly as well as the TYRs. I think i'll keep them in my bag for sets where I need a lighter catch for longer distance sets where the massive catch of the TYRs might be too much for me.

My husband and I are both very capable endurance swimmers. We pool and open-water swim multiple times a week. We are very proficient with training with a variety of tools including paddle and each have a variety of styles and sizes at the ready in our swim bags. These are a very decent addition to those tools. I usually use a flat pair with the individual straps for my wrist and my fingers (they are visible in the photo). My husband usually uses a style similar to these dark ones, but without the large silicone strap. These are comfortable in our palms and the extra wide silicone strap provides comfortable pressure to keep the paddles in place. My husband thought the thumb hole was a little rough, but not enough to cause any scrape or chafing. They grabbed the water as expected and provided for an effective workout.Take the time to measure your hands to make sure you get the correct size.

These are a cool concept... not sure about the design. I need to swim a few laps first. I ordered the large/ extra large. These came labeled "Large". The thumb hole is a touch small for really big hands. I normally wear men's extra large to 2XL gloves. The hard plastic side of these fits well for me. The silicone back that fits across the back of my hand has space built into it. If my hand was twice as thick, then the silicone might be snug. As it is, it's gaping and I imagine will drag and pull the paddles off my hands in the water. The thumb hold may prevent this. But I'll have to do more testing to be sure. Honestly, silicone has some flexibility to and a bit of stretch and design wise, these should have been made with no extra space in the silicone part since the plastic was molded with hand space.

I swam 1 mile in a lap pool using Bairuifu Swimming Hand Paddles. There’s a hole in each paddle to slide my thumb to help secure the paddle to my hand. After a few laps, I began to feel a pressure point in the same area on each thumb, which caused me to continually attempt to shift the position of the paddle to avoid developing a blister.Due to the design, I found I also had to focus on the way my hands enter the water at a specific angle to avoid water catching the paddle and bending my hand backwards, throwing off my stroke. Similarly, as I completed my stroke and began to raise my arm from the water, water would catch the paddle and act like a break disrupting my stroke. If I hooked my fingers over the front edge to secure the paddle, it did reduce these issues somewhat. For comparison, I find a silicone web glove (top item in the photo) that slides over my fingers and thumb to be far superior. It can take a minute or two to slide my fingers into the silicone web glove, but it provides the additional resistance needed for a better workout without affecting my stroke. While these swim hand paddles are better than nothing, there are several better options available, thus 2 stars out of 5.

I was intrigued by these for my 8-year-old son who is still stubbornly struggling AGAINST learning to swim. I feel like it's just not connecting with him and he doesn't want to do anything he isn't already good at. I got these and asked his teacher if she thought they'd be helpful and she basically said anything that he wanted to use would be great. He tried them out and it seemed to really connect the dots on how to use your hands as paddles and he was able to make a lot bigger strides with the paddles on. They are a bit confusing at first to figure out how to put them on and where your thumb goes, but we figured it out pretty quickly and I've added pictures for your reference as well. The pictures are of this "childrens'" size on my own adult (though small) hand. My son was still able to use them and keep them on for the most part despite them being a bit lose on him.
