A couple of days I had bought myself Vandoren reeds as a treat to myself. I know many other musicians that use this brand of reed, and they were pretty satisfied overall with the tone quality and such.I, however, was not.I had ordered two reeds and got them two days later. Once I had opened the package, I did not see anything wrong- but once I opened the reed case, the condition of them was clear.The first one cracked strait down the middle, and the other was crooked!CROOKEDThe first one was obviously useless to my dismay, so I - hoping that at least half of my money wasn't wasted- tried the other one.It might as well have been cracked.The tone was horrible, and no soaking would help it. Overall, it sounded- and looked- like it was made by an ametuer reed maker, and I was unable to get a refund. Taking it from a poor musician who payed $60 dollars for those two reeds, please DO NOT buy these reeds.
