We finally got to bring this along on a dance competition road trip. The wine set worked fine, felt solid and was able to open a few bottles. The aerator also did its job, and we enjoyed the wine. It was nice that it was a complete wine opening set, and used the foil cutter, the corkscrew was easy to use and worked well, and the aerator made those twenty-dollar bottles of wine taste good. The wine stopper did its job, but it wasn’t like it had to keep the wine close for too long (lol). The chess set was average, better than a travel set but not like a real set. The pieces are lightweight, and the board is a little small. Again, this was good for taking on the road, but I bet most people have more dedicated wine openers or chess sets that will feel like better quality.Pros: Compact and works well for travellingCons: None really, but wouldn’t be my first choice at home

nice chess/wine setwooden box is of pretty good quality for the pricechess pieces are basic wooden pieces. not very intricate in design. fine for the price point. some of the wooden pieces have slight defects. not very noticeablewine set is of good quality.ive not used this style of wine opener before but it makes opening bottles much easier than the typical corkscrewall pieces fit inside the wooden box, making for a nice gift item

I never would have thought of including a chess set with a wine bottle opener, so this combination wins the prize for being unique and giftable at the same time. It almost qualifies as a man-cave masterpiece.Made by Indoora & Co., this handsome wood gift box is well crafted with a mahogany (red wine) finish, rubber protectors on the bottom, and latch-lock to keep the insides intact. And, oh, let's talk about the insides. Wooden chess pieces occupy the upper part of the hinged lid, while the base includes a plethora of wine gadgets and gizmos. There is no insert, instruction sheet or User Manual, but from what I could ascertain, the wine set includes: a brass- finish rabbit ears wine opener, a brass bottle stopper, two extra corkscrews, a wine spout pourer, aerator, foil cutter, bottle neck ring/collar, and some other doohickey that looks like a small metal straw that I have no idea what it is, or how it is used. I'm going to have to look that up.The styling is elegant and classy and is a perfect gift for pretty much any occasion. A minor point to make, although not necessarily a drawback, is that the box set is definitely travel size. As a result, the wine opener is more compact in size than others I have used in the past and requires more effort (i.e., muscle leverage) to extract the cork from the wine bottle than a larger rabbit ears set might provide. Nonetheless, there is so much to enjoy about this all-in-one gift set, especially at its competitive price-point, that it would be unfair to quibble. Overall, it's a winner!Recommended.

The wood box is nicely done, silky smooth finish very nice mahogany stain. Looks very nice on its own.The chess board is stenciled, and that's fine, it looks fine, it is done very well, just an FYI.The chess pieces are rudimentary rough carved/cut from wood, but in a way that gives it a cool look, feel, and vibe. I would rather have the rough wood pieces included rather than cleaner but plastic ones. And the knights "eye" is hysterically perfect!The wine tools, air-ater, pourer, different size cork screws, foil cutter, cork puller, everything is really well thought out and made with quality materials.There is a good quality firm foam pad that holds everything very nicely on top, chess pieces and bottom, wine tools.There are 4 small rubber pads on the outside bottom of the box to protect it and whatever surface it is placed on from scratches.For a price point under $50 USD this is a good deal for a nice gift. If you can get it under $40 USD, this is a really nice deal.If the recipient drinks wine, they will use this.Nice concept to put all this together in one package. Well done. Nice presentation.4 Stars.

Looks and feel high end.The craftsmanship of the chess box itself is outstanding. It has a very nice smooth mahogany (red wine) finish ( kind of goes with the overall theme). This was perfect. A gift for my mom whose teaching her grandkids how to play chess. She loved it. It says good for men, but it depends on how they would use it and she loves the wine opener and the chess board.
