I was so impressed with this spiral bound, hard cover coloring book that I could not decide whether to start coloring in it or to save it and give it as a gift to someone special. I could not resist…..I am keeping it for me!The artwork is exquisite with thin bold lines. Each page has at least one butterfly, and some have more. All pages also have flowers. There is a lot of detail which I love. It is a bit of an advantage if one can easily identify butterflies and flowers easily. If not, just use your imagination, and make each page either realistic or fantasy oriented.The paper is medium heavy weight which makes it a cut above those that have such thin, flimsy weight. It is smooth with the slightest hint of tooth. The spiral bound spine is another plus. The 8×8 inch size is convenient for travel, at home or waiting for an appointment in a reception area. The price is very good.I used Prismacolor Premier pencils, Artristro acrylic paint marker pens (extra fine point) and a colorless blender. I experienced no bleed-through except a faint bit of red on the Prismacolor rose, and that occurred when I used the colorless blender. Don’t forget to use a blotter page.The pages are borderless and most have no background. I like that because it gives the colorist the opportunity to color in a background of their choice, or leave it blank. On a few pages, the design covers the entire page.

I am impressed with this coloring book. It has a hard cover and the paper quality is not something you usually see in a coloring book. The Detail in the photos are going to keep you busy for a while. The pictures are printed on only one side. My only issue with this is the size of the book. It's a little small

This is a great book for coloring with its sturdy cover and hand-drawn illustrations. I also love the size - a little smaller but not too small. The paper is of good quality and each design is one-sided. I wish there were more books like this. Highly recommended.

I feel like I am opening up a fairy tale book opening the cover on this. It opens up like a book instead of having the spirals at the top, like if you were to get a book with pictures and were flipping through the pages to read a story. The cover is hard and great quality. The paper has some thickness to it. The pictures have some fine detail to them, so I plan to use colored pencils on it instead of markers. I think it would handle regular art markers, but I would place something between pages in case not. I doubt alcohol markers would work well, but I could be wrong. The pages just are not as thick as others I use markers on. This would be a really nice book to slip into a gift basket for someone who loves to color.

This is a very beautiful coloring book with the possibility of hours of fun. The butterfly theme is creatively carried through to designs that include other interesting elements such as music instruments. These are fine line images, so best suited for someone who enjoys coloring small details. The paper is thick enough to hold the ink from my markers without bleeding through, though I always use a piece of thin cardboard under any coloring page I'm working on, just in case. This would make a wonderful gift for a coloring enthusiast.

Pictures are very pretty and complex as one would expect from an adult coloring book. This is a hard bound book with a spiral binding. This makes it easy to turn to an exact page and have it flat without a binding bulge. It will also make a nice coffee table book while working on the various pages and then to keep it permanently very nice.

I love flowers and butterflies, and the pictures in this coloring book are gorgeous. I know I will have fun coloring them in. Last night, until my hands got too tired, I was coloring the first page in the book that has roses, other flowers and three butterflies. I remembered seeing the beautiful new rose that was just introduced a few days ago, called Catherine's Rose after Princess Catherine in the UK. That rose is so beautiful in a blend of pink and salmon colors. So, I tried to color the roses on the first page to look as much like the Catherine's Rose as possible. I was using colored pencils to color the page and was having good success with them.I like that the book has a hard cover and spiral binding. It is especially nice to be able to fold the book so it lays flat while coloring. The pages are smooth to color on but thick enough so if you want to frame them, they will hold their shape. Depending on the picture you will find adequate white space around the edges. Several of the pictures also feature musical instruments.I appreciate the opportunity to use this book. Thank you.
