The old latch was very unpredictable. Replaced with this aftermarket part and it works better than is has in years. Very easy installation that took about 30 minutes.

Saved money by diy. For my 2012 Grand caravan I had to re-use my old cable. But now I can lock the hatch so that’s important.

My 2010 Grand Caravan gate dash light began going bonkers a few weeks ago and finally gave out. At the price this replacement part cost I wasn't expecting much but boy was I wrong! It works great and as an added bonus the mechanism is super silent when closing the gate! The original made a metal-on-metal sound whereas this new one sounds buttery soft. Very impressed! If anybody needs help installing this, let me know and I'll gladly help!
