Photos are very deceptive. It's smaller than a phone despite the photos showing it close the the size of a laptop. Also does not lay flat despite photos showing it laying flat. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I got this as a gift, but tested it out before giving away to make sure it worked. It was really easy to use/charge and all of the colors are very vibrant and fun. I would definitely recommend this as a gift for someone!

Bought the mini size. I once interacted with a similar product irl which stayed fixed at whatever angle the user opened the "book" to, so I incorrectly assumed this one would be the same. I would have been happy if it could at least sit open 180 degrees on its own (as nearly every photo of this item shows it), but this simply isn't possible unless you put it on a magnetic surface (and I'm pretty sure most people's night stands and bed sheets aren't magnetic). Unless you open it 360 degrees and connect the two covers together (thereby making it no longer recognizable as a book), it simply closes back up on itself. Pointless. I'm returning.

I threw this in with an order on a whim. It just caught my eye. I didn't even know it had an internal battery until I received it.Our home has 4 generations under one roof, and my wife ultimately ordered 4 more: one for the kids' room, one for grandma, one for her sister, and one for herself. The family uses these as portable night lights simply and honestly because they are more fun than a cellphone light! I just don't know what it is about these things. They do feel sort of warm and magical when you're carrying it to the bathroom in the middle of the night.Only con is that my kids tore the paper in their light within a few days, but I mean they are kids and this is made of paper. If anything, it was my wife's fault! :D
