This is a pretty good service manual. It comes with a variety of scooters in a range of about 10 years or something with them grouped into production years with their various arrangements for technical data. It is possible to troubleshoot in my case but it does not provide any means to assess any technical problems without the help of the check engine light on the instrument panel coming on and doing its code of flashes, the code of flashes is in this service manual. The diagnosis for a performance problem where the check-engine light is not operating for any reason is left to the owner's ability to be able to determine whether the service technician at the Yamaha Dealer Service Department has done something to diminish the scooter's performance or done anything at all to inhibit the competitiveness of the scooter's performance. The service manual assumes that anyone doing anything to the scooter in order to effect repairs is going by the book. Having to do an expensive repair because a vehicle service technician deliberately damages a motor-scooter or motorcycle during the motor's first routine maintenance is also not a prospect in this service manual as to what the service technician could have done to damage the vehicle. The service manual is exclusively for mint condition hot-off-the-press motors' and assumes that no prospective vandalism can be done to a motor' that is realized after the motor' comes back from the service department. The service manual assumes that motor' service technicians or upstanding law abiding citizens who do not discriminate against or prejudice anyone. It is a good service manual though although it lacks some experience in motor' service technicians and their unscrupulous mindsets,
