These are nice to add beneath the terminals to help prevent acid encroachment and corrosion on your battery post. You still have to inspect and do preventative maintenance since they don't stop a battery from leaking. They primarily slow down wicking. Every little bit helps. I put these under the terminals on my truck battery and replace them anytime they are degraded or I replace the battery.

I was in the process of replacing my battery, so I thought while I'm at it, it would be good to ensure my new battery will get the most protection and life to it. In addition to putting a battery wrap on it, I ordered and put these on it. They are inexpensive and well worth it. They easily identify which is the positive and negative terminals and also keeps the terminals clean and dust and grease free. The felt is also fairly thick and good quality; they will outlast the life if the new battery and I'll most likely be able to continue to use them for many years to come. Highly recommend.
