Mode switch: The mode A/B switch is located on the back of the in-line module. Mode A is recommended for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC gaming. Mode B is recommended for making mobile phone calls or listening to music.
Mode A
When you are playing games on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC using Astro A10, A10 Gen 2, A30, A40, A40 TR, A50 headsets connected to the headset, we recommend enabling Mode A. You can mute or unmute the headset microphone by sliding the mute switch (front control) up and down. The scroll wheel control is used to adjust the music or chat volume.
Mode B
When using the Astro A50, A40, A40 TR, A30, A10, A10 Gen 2 with a smartphone with a 3.5 mm jack, we recommend enabling Mode B. The button below the in-line mute switch can be used to answer or hang up a call. While listening to music, the Answer/Hangup button can be used to pause or unpause the music. Mode B also enables the in-line microphone.
