I got the item it works as described however, sitting in the toolbox with humidity, it got rusty, extremely fast should have a coating on it, but what do you expect from a cheap tool?

Bent this with my hands just to test.Went ahead and used to cut some wire. They bent more. Only needed to make 6 cuts of heavy wire. 3 more cuts to make. Hoping they don’t break before I’m finished.

Review of: QUAXLENT 10 Inch Large Cable Cutter High Leverage Big Wire Cutting Plier Tool for Aluminum Copper and Comm CableASIN B0D2W9PZ43I'm an electrician, and name brand electrical tools are expensive. These work just as good as a name brand set at less than half the price ($16 at time of the review). My only issue is that they are not lubricated properly, or at all, from the factory. When they arrived and were almost seized. Some liquid wrench fixed them all really quick though, now they're smooth as butter.I've used them to cut 8/3 mostly so far and they work great. Recommend.

These cable cutters are sharp and the jaws open wide enough to cut through 12/3 copper cable. The handles are long and they provide good leverage and I find that they cut through cables easier than typical wire cutters. The urethane coating on the handles are comfortable to hold and they don't slide or pull off easily.The build quality feels decent as the jaws don't twist or separate while cutting through thick cables and the handles don't excessively flex. I like that the jaws have a small groove at the tip which has been handy to use for stripping the sheath off single wires. Overall these cable cutters work well and they're not too tight or too loose. They're accurately measured in the description and have a rough ground finish. A drawback is that I need to use both hands to cut through cable as I'm unable to only use one hand to get the jaws opened wide enough.

These cables cutters are very handy. I didn't have a pair of actual cable cutters before, and it was awfully tough to cut cables. If I tried to cut cable with diagonal cutters or bolt cutters, the cable either just got crushed and didn't cut, or slipped out the end of the cutter. These cutters have recesses to hold the cables in place while they are being cut, so the cable can't slip away. The way the blades are arranged on these, they slice through the cable cleanly, rather than crushing the cable like bolt cutters. The handles are long enough to get plenty of leverage too, so cutting thick cable is no problem. If you need to cut cable, then these pliers will do the trick - no problem at all. Five stars.
