At first it seemed perfect, it feels like a good quality build with plenty of ports for accessories. After a couple weeks the fan started making a really loud whining noise but I was out of the return window so I just sucked it up. I bought a padded case with a hard shell to keep this dock and my ally in so it wasn't getting beat up. I just went to use it and none of the ports are working so at this point it is just a stand to put my ally on.

I had one that glitched, I got ahold of someone and they sent a replacement fast. The fan is my favorite feature. The stand is sturdy and holds the legion well. The ports also nice and easy to get to. Other brands have a round edge and the power cord slips out all of the time.

Finally we can play games on the steam deck without the internet disconnecting us. The lan wire is the best feature. The fan keeps the deck cool so thats good too.

Pros:- lots of I/O- all ports functioning for 6 months now no issues.- charging is powerful enough to support deck and one external device from my testing.Cons:- The placement of the usbc to console connector is a bit concerning. It hasn't been a problem for me yet but the curve I imagine will damage the cord over time. I could not know this for sure however.

The USB 2.0/3.0 ports on my docking station worked flawlessly for a month, but then they inexplicably ceased to function. I received no error messages, and I have been unable to find a solution.

Works great for my ROG ally and has no issues running In turbo mode 45-52watts boost with original charger. If your doing a firmware update I would disconnect the dock and connect directly to the original power supply or you will get a message saying usb power unable to use performance mode but besides when updating it runs in turbo fine. The fans aren’t real strong but they help push air in the intake vents a bit and look cool from the back. Currently the rog ally is frying peoples MicroSD cards using it’s built in slot so you can use this dock instead for extra storage space and it has no issues bricking your expensive 1tb or whatever MicroSD card.I would if your connecting hdmi and multiple usb along with MicroSD that you get a 85w-100w wall adapter and plug that in so you don’t lose any power and can use turbo mode docked with peripherals all filled.I highly recommend this dock since other docks don’t support turbo mode at all when connected. It’s double the price of other docks but it has rgb fans and more than enough connections.

So it works fine as it should. Has fans, multiple ports, etc. But it doesn't come with a power cord they want you to use your original steam or whatever charger to power it. Using any USB c won't work as it won't have enough power to power the hdmi and/or charge your steam deck, it'll say low charging cord or something like that. A regular USB c plus will power the fans, deliver a very weak almost useless charging to your steam deck and it will not power the hdmi output. Once you connect your factory steam deck charger it works fine. I just feel for $60 coming with no cord I don't know. It's a little steap I think it should of been like $45. My next issue is the cord it's too long and it's curved as you can see, so you'll see when you get one it makes it hard to plug into the steam deck cause it has so much tension on it, if it was shorter it'd be a easy click into place. And removing it is annoying! The USB c goes in so tight and it's curved so it makes it hard to pull out so you have to be delicate not to damage your connector in your steam deck. You can fit your Deck in it while it still has a case I had a beefy case on mine and it fit just fine but be warned cases typically make your top buttons and USB c port concave so it makes it harder inserting and removing the USB c cord.

The dock is built quite well with a metal base and works great with all the connections I would ever need and has fans for cooling to boot. I like the 90 angled connector which makes it look cleaner when connecting to my steam deck and it doesn't cause much stress on the cable as well. Even though its not design for the Switch, I was able get it working with my Switch but you do have to have it upside down to have easy access to the USB-C Port. It not perfect but its good to know I have the option to use for the Switch if I need it.

This is my first dock for my steam deck, and so I cannot really compare it to others. It is really well build, and high quality. The whole thing except for the fans is aluminum. The fans light up too, and I found them useful when I dock my Steam Deck for like TV. All the ports work, including SD cards. The PD had a problem at first that for some reason I received a slightly different dock, with 60 watts PD, which did not work out, and stopped charging my deck after two weeks. I exchanged it, and got the 100 watt PD, which so far had Zero problems. Overall, plug and forget it. Everything works, and with additional USB ports and specifically the fans, it turned out to be my premier choice.

Fans are cooling the backplate but it does nothing with temperature or with speed of internal fan. I compared results with cheap plastic dock and everything were the same. In addition this stand is blocking ventilation hole on the bottom of the Deck. So do not recommend. Other things are good, but without fans this deck could be smaller.
