Inspecting these I believe they are from the same factory as some other blades I ordered. Take a look at the comparison. I just removed those after a season and a half of mowing rocks. They are very durable! These new blades aren’t too sharp but if you have rough terrain they are perfect. Very thick and well built. They fit my exmark quest s series w a 50” deck perfectly. I mowed with them today and they worked great!

I was skeptical, but these really do mulch the grass much better than the stock OEM Toro blades. For the price I am very impressed. No other equipment needed - just swap out the blades.

Exmark Quest 50”Quality blades. Great cut. Cut a day after old blades that were in bad shape and were cutting uneven, these blades properly cut the grass and made the yard look much better than the old blades.

IntroductionMulching blades are an essential component for achieving a well-manicured lawn with your Toro Z5000 mower, particularly when you have a 50" deck. Initially, these blades might seem to underperform, but upon closer inspection, you'll understand their true capabilities.Performance OverviewInitial Impressions:When I first started using these blades, I was concerned because the side discharge did not appear to eject a significant amount of grass. This observation made me worry that something might be wrong with the blades.Realization:However, I soon realized that these blades are designed for mulching rather than simply throwing the cut grass. Mulching blades cut the grass finely and deposit it back onto the lawn, providing natural fertilization and reducing the need for bagging.Effectiveness:Upon examining my cutting path, I could see that the blades were indeed doing an excellent job. The grass was evenly cut and the lawn looked pristine.Blade Design and AdjustmentBlade Positioning:The unique shape of these mulching blades causes them to sit about 1/2" lower than the factory or normal cutting blades. This is due to the taller rise on the back of the cutting edge.Deck Adjustment:To accommodate this difference, it's crucial to raise your mower deck by 1/2" during your first use. This adjustment ensures that you do not unintentionally scalp your grass, maintaining the health and visual appeal of your lawn.ConclusionIn summary, while mulching blades might initially seem less effective due to the reduced grass discharge, they ultimately provide superior mulching performance for your Toro Z5000 mower. The necessary deck adjustment is a minor step that ensures optimal results. Embrace the benefits of mulching blades and enjoy a healthier, greener lawn.UPDATE: I'm really liking these blades more and more. Unlike conventional blades, these do not concentrate the grass into clumps when using the side discharge with the deflector in place. They also seem not to suck everything up into the blades, but pass over things like pine cones and small branches. They do a very good job at cutting the grass without leaving lines of cut grass behind.

Not a fan, first mow with these blades, seem dull and do not cut the grass well. Going to try and sharpen them myself and see how they do.
