Gave these to my 5-yo great nephew for his bday, along with a big bag of Sour-Bite Gummie Worms! Honestly, I don't know who liked it more -- the bday boy, his younger sister by 1-yr, who loves sweet-sour gummies, or his/their parents who got a good laugh!

I bought these to go Fishing in Texas, didn't catch a monster but they worked. The are nicely built and will be a great addition to my Tackle Box.

This is a great inshore lure kit. In my area, Florida, these shrimp lures are great for speckled trout (spotted weakfish) but will also catch many other aggressive fishes. This type of lure does not have an action of its own, you give it a lifelike action with your rod tip and retrieve and for me this is a really fun way to fish. I use a medium action rod with a 3000-4000 spinning reel. The attention to detail of the shrimp is excellent and I like the hairlike filaments that accurately mimic what a fish would expect to see with a live shrimp. The plastic box it came in works but the clasp does not secure very well, I just added a rubber band and it’s good to go. Nice value for the price on this one.

So here in FL we have what are known as snook, and snook really like shrimp so I saw these and firgured why not.A) The attention to the tiniest of details is phenomenal.B) The colors are great: crisp and clean a very diverse selection.C) The hook eye facing to the rear is great because this is how shrimp naturally swim.D) The mirrored 3d stringers originating from the mouth region a nice touch.Over all beautiful artificial s, and can't wait to fish them.Long shanked circle hooks of the same size might be a great addition, self setting and barb less. All' N all they look great and I am very excited to fish them, after that I will update accordingly,

Let's start with the good. These are quite cheap for what you get and seem well made with a nice steel leader. They should hold up even getting taken by toothy fish. These also look fairly convincing as fake shrimp go, and shrimp or similar species are almost universally liked by both saltwater and freshwater fish. However, these lures are supposed to be good not only for saltwater but also for "Freshwater Aggressive Fish." So, I tried fishing these in freshwater where I have caught pretty aggressive largemouth bass that run up to about 6 pounds. On two separate days, I couldn't get a single solid strike with these lures; only a few times did I get fish to show any interest at all. I don't claim to be an expert at fishing with fake shrimp, but I think the reason for so little activity is that these shrimp just don't have much motion in the water. The thin threads of the "lobster beard" move a bit, but the fairly heavy hook keeps the body pretty rigid, and it just doesn't move in a very convincing way. It also isn't particularly flashy or noisy in the water. I wonder if a spinner on the leader might have helped? Or perhaps bass would like it better if I removed the steel leader? In summary, these are lures that look great but didn't work so well for me thus far. I've been trying a wide variety of artificial lures in freshwater, mostly for largemouth bass. I've found the bass to be quite aggressive striking anything noisy/flashy or moving realistically... but I couldn't get them to attack these. The most response I got was with exaggerated jerky retrievals, almost fishing this as though it was a jig. I imagine these lures might work a lot better for toothy, super-aggressive, freshwater fish like muskies or pike rather than bass.

The lures themselves look and feel great. I can't take that away from them. There are 7 different colors (I left out the solid white one in the lineup pic), but only 5 trays in the package they come in. You will either need to mix them, or move them to a different tacklebox. As you can see in the included pics, they are very vibrant in color and they look nice. They really do glow as well when charged under a light. I happened to use a small black light to get them charged up for the picture. The action in the water though, these just don't have it with the jig they're set up on. They don't rest upright in any sense. The wire jig I think is supposed to give them shrimp-like action, but it's just not there. They pull through the water tail first like they would if they're swimming, but with the hook down through the tail, they are stiff with little to no lifelike action. I would advise re-rigging them to a setup that allows the tail to move at least a little bit through the water.

These Saltwater Fishing Shrimp Lures are very lifelike and come in a really nice variety of colors. I wish they were a little bit larger, but they certainly work as is. The hooks are very sharp, and I love their luminous antenna. The attention to detail gives them a handmade appearance. The wire lead has a moveable green glowing bead that makes noise to help attract fish. The way they're constructed, I can cut them off the wire lead and tie them directly to my line and use with a popping cork. The only downside to this set is the incredible cheap box they send them in because it won't stay shut, so I will need to find something else to store them in. Small detail considering the nice quality of the lures.
