This is the 3rd purchase of these Bimini pad eyes. I use them with 2" carabiners that hang sets of string lights. The eyes & the screws are stainless steel and fit perfectly up under the soffit on the face. My string lights are able to sway as needed and they will never fall off. The first 2 pics are from when I installed the hooks last year. Pics 3 & 4 are from this week. I highly recommend these pad eyes for your next project
