It was difficult getting the old blade off, so I had to use an impact wrench. When I used the new blade, it did a good job.

We finally found the hard to fit blades for our fairly old edger. Amazon did it again! We looked all over town to find a blade with a half-inch diameter mounting hole But they were nowhere to be found. Fortunately, Amazon had exactly what we needed, and the quality of these blades is obvious with just the first look. Not only did we get one, but the blades came in a two pack at a very, very reasonable price. My husband took the old blade off and installed one of these new blades in about five minutes. We are so incredibly happy.

I used one of these blades for a very tough edging job on a very large corner lot. I measured the wear on this used blade to the unused blade. It had negligible wear. The blade looks as if it was never used.

I bought a Powermate edger years ago from Depot and can find the right parts anymore in the store. These have been great. I wish I replaced my old blade a long time ago, it had worn down so much.
