I had a baby gate but it didn't have hinges or opened and closed. so I put hinges on it but I needed a latch as well. This latch served the purpose perfectly

I got these for a small 18” coop door and it’s working fine so far. Looks great and fills two functions as a handle and a lock, so I’m happy. Not sure how long it will last outside being a lightweight metal and having plastic parts…

Pros:- A decent value for the $$$ @ $7.99 per 2 pack- Easy to installCons:- Catch receiver is relatively narrow, requires need to mount screws into or very near the edge.- only 2 screw "anchor" points on receiver catch, a 3rd screw further from the edge would provide better security/strength.- Catch receiver mounting plate very thin at just under 2mmSide Note: I did not use the provided fasteners as they were only 1/2 an inch (13mm)

I haven’t gotten a chance to install or use these yet, but from first look they seem overall well made and useful little latches! It’s handy that each latch comes with three different thickness spacers in case you need to adjust the height/position of the latch relative to the spring pin. This doesn’t affect the functionality of the latches at all, but unfortunately all of the latch pieces are missing the black paint/finish on one of the interior corners (see picture). As long as the spring pin continues to function well for a long time to come, I will be happy with this product!

We have a cat that just loves getting into our cabinet at night while we are sleeping. I already had a child proof hook latch on the door but it allows the door to open approx 2 inches, just enough for her to get her arm inside and pull out the plastic trash bags stored there. I work second shift and when I get home at midnight, there are always trash bags in the middle of the floor, after installing this latch I came home to a very disappointed looking cat sitting in front of the cabinet door :-) This latch prevents the door from opening at all, it was easy to install and functions perfect. Good value for the money.
