These brake pads are smaller than the original manufacturer break pads that came out of my Hayes MX4 breaks. I am not sure if they will work or not but I don't want to damage the caliper trying. This seller says they are compatible, so I would not believe that these are compatible with anything the seller says.

It will drop in the hole but it is smaller than the originals by about 1/8" both top to bottom and sin width, had to use tweezers to retrieve the pads from the brake as the tab can't be reached with needle nose after dropping into place. Pic is original next to this one.RETURNED AS DESCRIPTION FOR MY PURPOSE IS INACCURATE

These do fit in my CX Expert brakes on a 2015 Trek 520, but they do not have the exact same surface area of the original Hayes brake pads--they're slightly smaller. Otherwise, good stopping power and easy to install.

Don't use it for hayes soles 1. Too small, they are looses in the caliper brake.

Watched a YouTube video on how to fix MX4 brakes! It was a piece of cake! Pull the wheel, loosen the brake housing, pull out the old pads, install the new ones, then put the wheel back in a done! The only word of caution ALMOST ordered the wrong ones. Just look on the side of your brakes to get the type and put that into the search. Bonus: I got the opportunity to spend some time with my son doing something without a screen, help him learn he can fix his own stuff, and also get his hands a little greasy!

Works great on my trek 520 disc and I just got home for a bike packing trip and it rained a lot and the break pads worked great

Pads work fine, but they're slightly smaller then stock pads so there's less braking area, which will makes them wear out fast. I'm using them on a 30 mph ebike so they thin out quickly. For casual use (on regular bicycles) it's fine, but I don't recommend them for heavy duty use.

Those pads are super small, but came in a package that could have fit a 100 sets
