we were looking for sharks teeth, after about the 5th scoop the pole broke in half leaving a nasty sharp edge that we could not let the grandkids use it any longer. Worked great for the first few scoops.

Garbage, the sifter broke off at the handle the first time it was used. Customer service gives you the run around to get it replaced.

Great for finding shell at the beach, however basket broke off on first use. Nice to have an extra one.

These worked ok. Kinda small. One of them broke on the first use, but worked for what we needed them for which was to find sharks teeth. Wouldn’t buy again if I needed another one.

I wasn't sure what to expect from these, so I had concerns the mesh would be flimsy or the poles might not be very sturdy, but these pleasantly surprised me. The sifter parts have reasonably sturdy construction. The metal mesh seems fairly rigid and strong.The poles are fairly thick and seem like sturdy metal. They have a nice grip at the top and the bottom where the scoop screws in is a metal insert. The only plastic parts are the part around the metal screw in part and the part that lets you adjust the length. These seem well-made though.There is also a nice, thick cord at the back so you can wrap this around your wrist so you don't drop it.I haven't tried it at the beach yet, but I have attempted to bend the poles and sifters with my hands, exerting reasonable force. They maintained their shape without issue. I will be headed to the beach next month and will report back if there are issues with this that arise. So far, I really like them and look forward to giving them a try!
