This headphone hook is surprisingly sturdy. It's very simple, just an aluminum extrusion with a separate thumb setscrew to hold it in place on the desk (and some foam tape to prevent it from scratching it up). The only complaint I have is that the lower hook (the straight one) is only 1 1/8" deep, which means that headphones with wider headbands will not sit flat. If you are getting this for headphone use, measure your headband first. This will hold a lot of weight (I didn't measure but I would think 15-20 lbs wouldn't be a problem); the limiting factor appears to be the setscrew, which will slide and possible deform before the hook itself starts bending.
