C6 Corvettes equipped with automatic transmissions have been known to experience a frustrating issue involving the gear shifter getting stuck in the Park position. This problem often arises due to a malfunction within the shift interlock system, which is designed to prevent the shifter from moving out of the Park position without the brake pedal being depressed. When this system fails, it can be caused by various factors such as a faulty shift interlock solenoid, a malfunctioning brake light switch, or issues with this shifter wiring harness.
This accurately reproduced automatic transmission shifter wiring harness has correct micro-switches, connectors, and lightbulb socket for a direct plug-in installation that requires no soldering or special tools! The OEM correct connectors with up rated heavy duty roller micro snap switches rated at 250-volt 5 amp installs directly into factory pins and retainers. Installation does not require the removal of the complete shifter assembly. You will only need to lift the shifter boot retainer and the shift indicator.
