My daughter, 2, likes having her hair braided but will take it out when I'm not looking. That results in lost hair ties. With as many as this set has for the price that's ok. There's lots of colors so I can make sure that hey braids can match or contrast with whatever she's wearing. There's always a worry that these tiny things just won't stretch enough for you to get a nice tight ponytail but not with these hair ties. Plus there's enough give while wearing that it's not pulling hairs making your kids want to do them off faster than normal. I can attest to that, my daughter usually takes her hair ties out within 5 minutes of my putting her hair up and then all me to do it again. Now she's wearing her hair up for at least half an hour at a time and sometimes will only take her hair down at nap time and bed time. It makes me happy because that means her long hair stays out of her food when she eats and doesn't tangle as she runs after the dogs, slides down her slide, or just jumps on the bed.
