The Swimming Barbell with Water Exercise Discs was a great find! Assembly was simple—just pop out some foam pieces and snap the barbell together. I usually use small dumbbells for water workouts, but I wanted to try something different. The barbell is sturdy and made of durable, heavy-duty foam. It did feel a bit awkward at first, but that’s probably just me needing to adjust and find the right exercises. Surprisingly, I enjoyed using the handheld discs even more—they were fun and effective!

These aquatic dumbells are a two for 1. You can shove the foam pieces onto the 30 inch long barbell rod to do upper body workouts, or just use the single foam pieces in the hand for gentler arm workouts or just to paddle with. The bar is just plastic, so it doesn't seem like it will handle an aggressive workout, but press downs, dual arm curls, or just floating while holding on work well. The single hand pieces have finger and thumb cut outs, and are comfortable to hold and use. These will be another great addition to my home water aerobics set.

Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Easy to put together. There was no packing slip or (instructions) with it, which is fine since it's a pretty simple product but would have been nice in case you are sending it to someone or giving as a gift. Since it comes in a couple of pieces, they may not know what it is automatically unless you give them a heads up. Also would have been nice to have a couple of visual ideas of good exercises to do with it but easy enough to look up online. Overall, I am happy with this product and can't wait to use it the pool this summer!

After more than 7 decades, our local high school was forced to close down their pool due to budget cuts. This has deeply saddened students, as well as past alumni, & our city’s residents are up in arms. I greatly miss being able to attend their water aerobics classes, especially over the hot summer months. So I finally decided after many years of wanting a pool of my own to get one, & thought this set would be perfect to use at home.This set of water exercise equipment includes 2-swim disks, as well as a swim dumbbell. They are both made of high density EVA foam, & the dumbbell has a middle pole made from plastic, which is also covered in the same foam. The only assembly required is attaching the middle poles into the outer parts of the foam dumbbell. Both pieces are chlorine resistant, & quickly dried after removing from the pool. The dumbbell can be used in many ways besides just as a weight, & I like using it either underneath my knees or ankles as a flotation device, while doing arm exercises under the water. The swim disks have 2-sets of holes, one in which you place your thumb, & the other is to place the rest of your hand. This enables you to grip them properly & to do upper body exercises, by simply pushing downward & using the water’s resistance.I am very happy with this set of water exercise equipment, & used them immediately after opening up my package. They did not have any type of odor, & the bright blue color did not fade, which is greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this perfect set of water equipment to anyone with a pool, who’s looking to increase their activity level.

I like this water weight set. They were easy to put together. When I went to put them together, the hole where the bar is inserted looks much smaller than size of the bar, but because of the foam it went in easily and remained secure. The blue and white colors are very similar/ almost the same as what is provided at the YMCA. So I will write my name on these with Sharpie. A different color selection would be a nice option. I got these to take with me to the YMCA for the water aerobics class or to use in the pool when class is not in session. Underwater weights provide a really nice workout, and using the hand paddles provides a lot of resistance when just swimming or moving my arms while in the shallow end. I have very small hands (size 6 ring) but the size was fine for me and also for my husband’s large hands (Size 12 ring). The Y only has dumb-bells so I like this bar-bell option, which is functional for my workouts. The bar is soft and easy to grip. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the price point. I think it is over-priced compared to similar items sold on Amazon, even though it is a set. I don’tsee any difference in quality of the foam to those I have used at the Y, so I’m not sure why these are priced higher. I will enjoy using these this summer.

I’m disabled and can only exercise in the water and I live these to add to my aqua fitness. I got a lot of use out of everything. There were several different exercises you can do with each piece. I have mobility issues. Joint and muscle issues. And more back issues I can list here. I can’t wait to get back in water with my new aqua gear. With any luck I’ll be getting better and moving better in time. If you work out in the water I recommend these and wouldn’t hesitate to buy them. The price is great.

I was very excited about using this for swim lessons. It broke with the first child. Don’t waste your money. Very poor quality.
