Not much can be said for buying finials, they are always personal taste, but finding round ones are more challenging! These fit, 1st off, which is a big plus. They look great and the actual lamp that they are intended for is slightly smaller, still hunting for the right shade, so these finials will be perfect and more proportional. They are a good quality and will do the needed trick and function as meant to. And a very good price, considering how difficult it is to find that special finial to begin with.

Chose the black painted finish for this two-pack of super heavy lamp finials.The finish on one of the finials was perfect — a nice thick application of matte black paint; the other not so great.The painted surface on finial #2 showed two small (opposing) chips into the paint — little "flea bites" as the auctioneers refer to them.Of course one can buff-out and re-coat the paint, but generally that's not part of the reason one would buy NEW finials.Still, these get high marks from me ... for heft, thread milling, and overall good quality.

I am a potter and currently obsessed with making lamps. With all the work and time I put into making one I want the hardware to be of good quality. These are. They have a nice weight to them and are well finished. They are perfect balls and on the larger size but work ok for the size lamp I am making. And it is difficult to find white finials so I am glad I found these. Finials are an aesthetic choice which makes a statement and these are perfect for some of my lamps.
