These skimmer baskets are the perfect size for our pool and the metal hook works as described; however, the screws that hold the plastic handles to the bottom of the skimmer baskets are too small (both in length and diameter). I installed the screws, put the baskets into our skimmers, and when I went to pull them out with the handle, the handle just slips right off the screws and the baskets are left in the skimmers. Luckily, I had bigger screws in my garage and after installing the bigger screws, the handles stay put and the product works as described. Just know that you will have to install bigger screws or they don't work as intended.

I love these skimmer basket handles. They are made of durable plastic that you can use each time you need to empty the skimmer basket, or you can attach them during the summer months and remove them when the season is over. We have a lot of snakes in our pool, so this is a necessity to keep fingers away from the basket. This is the second set that I have purchased over the last 4 years, so they last an average of 2 years. We are in an area where we do not close our pool, so that's two full years of use from each set. Excellent price and product for the money.
