My current home is a rental and living in rentals there isn't a lot I can do to make personal touches. But changing out the normally outdated ceiling fan light shades is one I can easily do .because it's temporary I just put the old one back on before I move out. I really love these iron bell shades. They let more light come through than the frosted glass I had before and they just look so much better.

I have a couple of cheap floor lamps that I got years ago that look good, but I really wanted to switch out the cheap looking plastic lamp shades with some that made the lamps look a little "classier". These look great and fit perfectly. So much so that they look like they came with the lamps. This was a much better alternative than spending money and unnecessarily replacing the lamps.

These Jingle Bell Lamp Shades are exactly what I wanted to replace my old lamp shades in my upstairs bathroom. The old ones were the original builder grade covers and I replaced all of the other lighting except for the vanity light in this bathroom. They were easy to install and give the bathroom a much more updated look. They seem to be very sturdy and the measurements are exactly as described in the listing - 5.7" X 4.9" and are made of black metal. After putting them on, I realized that I probably need to change the bulbs because the bulbs I have in there are not decorative. As I said, they work perfectly to replace the bulb covers in my bathroom vanity and I definitely recommend them.

The quality of these are great and they looking great once you get them on. Getting them on was a work out!! I don't know if all fans have the same size piece where the bulb goes in but mine almost didn't fit the wring that holds the cage on. I did get it with a little hard work and cuss words and it was worth it.

This is perfect for what i wanted! I have replaced most of our old (and old style) ceiling fans, but we have one in our dining room to kitchen area that still works amazingly well.However, it looks like it belongs on the set of the Brady Bunch.And the shades don't quite match. Two are white glas, one is slightly off white.I saw these and immediately had an idea. So these are the new shades. The old fashioned brass body is getting a matte black makeover. And the blades are getting covered with a pale cement wallpaper.Way more cost effective than replacing it just for looks.I might add some hemp rope to the shades at some point, I will add pictures when complete!

Despite being in a box (marked fragile) inside a shipping box, these lamp shades arrived damaged. Ironically, they are too strong to bend back into shape. That's why I'm giving them 3 stars; they really are quite heavy duty. The inner box was marked "fragile" and the shades themselves were well packed. Could be a fluke. They come complete with a smaller inner rings too if it's too big.

I know the current trend is to basically have naked bulbs with a shade that's less of a shade and more of a hand-wave in the direction of a shade... which is what these are. However, I wanted to use the base frames for covering and making an actual will-shade-the-lights kind of shade -- and these shades worked beautifully.
