This Hypnotic Gems Brand rough assortment is a mix made with over 50 types of high quality gemstone rough from all around the world created and bagged exclusively by Hypnotic Gems. They are great as tumbling stones or as decoration in fountains or candle trays containing a giant variety of 100% natural rough stones! When Hypnotic Gems makes this assortment it is mixed using more than 1,000 pounds of the assorted rough materials at a time. This is then poured into giant barrels, and then put into the proper size bags to fill your order of 1 pound, 2 pounds, 3 pounds or 5 pounds which are offered here on Amazon. Because of it being mixed in bulk and then put into bags, the quantity of each stone type in a bag will vary, and due to the large number of stone types it is not guaranteed you will get some of every material with your order. This material is sold by weight and not number of pieces. What you will get is an extraordinary mixture of gemstone rough from around the world you are certain to love! You are receiving these stones in the rough just like they came out of the ground. They will likely have a small amount of dust on them and we recommend washing the stones when you receive them to remove any dust and bring out their true beauty as shown in the pictures.

Love this mix! Not just the same old beginner stone, has many different and beautiful varieties. Wish that it came in larger or bulk size lots.

I use these rocks for my geology classes. When very small items are sent it is impossible to learn anything from examining the specimen. The larger (1 1/2 and up) are perfect. The rocks I received from this seller are perfect. A great assortment of different specimens, sizes, shapes, and variants. Actually, I am amazed at all the different stones I received. Also, they all were of decent size and quality. Perfect for studying geology and for admiring.

Nice product,BUT I only found about 12 different types of rock maybe 13 and it would be nice to know what types of stone can be found in this mix
