Great file set especially for the price. So far I've only had a chance to use this set on one project but between all the different sizes I was able to file down all the sharp edges of a bunch of stainless Unistrut I had to cut up and none of the files I used show any wear at all. I have the 31 piece set, keep in mind its really only 16 files the other 16 items are accessories including the case. The case that comes with it is really nice and very securely stores all the file.

I live on a large rural homestead with countless needs for various files... and never found a file set that included the specialty mini-files necessary for small repairs as well as the usual larger files one typically collects over the years. This is IT as far as I'm concerned, a really complete set! The included case is more than appreciated, although each of the larger files inside also includes a hole on the handle for hanging according to preference. This would make a great Christmas present for any homesteader, farmer, or rancher even though I'm keeping this excellent set of files for myself -- hands off! This set of files is mine!

There is a rasp for just about any job, big or small. These files will be a good entry level or home set for those looking for a budget set with lots of variety for every standard shape, size and edge profile. These files should last a person a lifetime with minimal use. (Non-commercial usage)The case is very nice and helps with containment and portability. Just grab and go! I cannot tell you how many random files are floating loose in drawers in the shop and always having to searching for the right one.I like the small set. It's nice being able do fine work or smaller project profiles.Definitely a good choice

The baffles are made of sheet steel that could be a little thicker. The end product is a box that is functional, but how long the box will weather in the elements is to be seen. The serrated edges are not sharp enough to hurt, and end up looking more dangerous than they are.

This is an excellent collection of high-quality files that are a great addition to any toolbox. The set includes a variety of wood and metal files, along with bonus items like gloves, sandpaper, and a convenient carrying case. I've been using a couple of inherited files from my grandpa for years, but I really needed more variety. A great feature of this set is the comfortable, built-in handles, which make them easy to use. If you're looking to expand your file collection, this set comes highly recommended!

This 32-piece file set in a zipper pouch has been an absolutely great for my various DIY projects around the house and garage! I used to have a random assortment of files scattered everywhere and my sons keeps losing them, but this set keeps everything perfectly organized and accessible. The variety of file shapes and sizes is fantastic – there's literally a file for every job, from fine detailing on woodworking projects to shaping metal and deburring edges. Each file feels solid and well-made, with comfortable grips, and they bite into material effectively. The zipper pouch is durable and keeps them all together, preventing them from getting lost or damaged, which is great for keeping my tools tidy. This is an incredibly comprehensive and high-quality set that any serious DIYer or hobbyist would appreciate!

I have a collection of files that if I had to guess range from 10 to 50 years old or more, many without handles and all showing their age. This seemed like a good set to check out, to see if it could replace many of my old stand-bys.The set comes in a pretty decent case that will serve will to keep them all in one place. The retention method is just elastic straps, though, so eventually those are going to stretch or wear out. That may be years down the road, though, unless you use this set a lot.The big files are pretty decent. All seem to be metal files rather than wood files, except for the smaller file "paddle" that has rasps on both ends. They seem perfectly fine for most metal-filing tasks, though from what I can see the tang for each file does not go all the way through the handle. So I wouldn't use them for things other than filing, like prying something open. There are two sets of smaller files - one diamond/fine, the other metal/medium (as opposed to coarse). They're all about the same as another other set of small files, though the handles on them could be longer.Rounding out the set is the included brush to knock filing material off the files, hopefully keeping them in good shape for the next task. All in all, it's not a bad starter file set. It's got most of everything you'd need for most filing tasks, except for wood rasps that would make quick work of basic wood shaping, and the quality seems to fall soemwhere between the cheap sets at knock-off hardware stores and really good sets with longer tangs and more thoughtful handles.

When I opened the packaging I wondered why the three rasps were all wrapped in plastic - almost molded, not simply wrapped around. Once I got the plastic off it was obvious why. These are sharp! I expect to be able to grind off excess wood quickly with these. Assuming the plastic handles hold up (I think they will) these should prove very useful with my various wood working projects.
