PPXHFV brand36pcs plastic spice jars with shaker lids for spices and powders.These hold more than most spice bottles. I like this very much. I generally use glass spice bottles but had need of lightweight bottles.The double opening lids are easy to use and secure.There is a design issue with the lid and bottle connection. If one needs to remove the lid to use a scoop or spoon too large for the lid opening, it makes a mess. The lids/jars are designed in a manner that does not contain bottle contents within the bottle. Fine powders ALWAYS end up between the lid and bottle.Powders that stain, for example freeze dried blueberry powder, and costly supplement powders make a mess and expensive product is lost when lids are removed.I use these to make powdered supplements, and a few medicinal herbs, and spices, which I purchase in bulk, portable and in easily used quantities. The need for portability means the containers may not be upright all of the time.The lids stay closed but there is always product between lid and bottle.On the whole, these are useful for my purpose.

I grow about 30 varieties of hot peppers each year. I keep running out of spice jars. This pack you get a huge quantity of plastic spice containers. These are fairly thick for plastic, as you cannot bend them in when applying force. The lids are decent and easy to open. Like with all plastic lids, this will probably be the failure point. On the plus side, if you drop these, they will not break!

I know what you're thinking... why would anyone need 36 jars for spices? Well let me tell you, I usually buy spices in bulk from the wholesale store, but it ends up losing its flavor because by the time I get through that ginormous container it's been exposed to the air a while. With these jars, you can divide up your bulk seasonings so that they stay fresh as you're using them and the bulk can be stored in the freezer. You can also create your own salt-free seasoning blends without the weird ingredients like silicon dioxide. But my favorite way to use these jars is to make seed shakers. If you're looking for a unique gift idea, take one of these jars and fill it with a mix of wildflower seeds. Then as you travel, you're able to sprinkle the seeds around to help grow areas for the bees and pollinators. See, you really do need these jars in your life!
