I got these for my son's video game themed birthday, to use in favor bags. The toppers are silicon and separate pieces, so if for whatever reason they want to move them to a straw or pencil, that's do-able.There is some assembly required, as the toppers need to be put on the pens.The pen I tested wrote fine, a little fine tipped for kids but functional. I think for the price, it's fine, especially since the toppers can be switched to something else when the pen gives way.I think at 26 for ~ $12.99 this is a good value. I would maybe have given fewer stars if they were more expensive, due to the quality of the pens.
