Grip is excellent. I like the padding too. It is light and absorbs the hit perfectly. Highly recommended.

The VeloPaddle 3K Raw Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle looks and feels like it wants to compete with the top-of-the-line paddles, but in practice, it doesn’t quite get there. The textured surface is decent and does provide some spin, and the 16mm polypropylene honeycomb core offers a nice balance of control and power. The lightweight design and non-slip grip are also definite positives, making it comfortable to play with during long matches.However, where this paddle falls short is in overall responsiveness and feel. Compared to true high-end paddles, it lacks that crisp, precise touch that advanced players will notice and miss. The no edge guard design looks sleek, but it does raise some concerns about long-term durability.Overall, it’s a decent paddle for casual or recreational play, but if you’re looking for a true top-tier performance paddle, this one might leave you wanting more.

This is a perfectly acceptable paddle for beginners.The size, weight and grip all work well for someone who is new to the game and has no idea what they want in a paddle. I find the grip to be the perfect size for my large hands; it provides good control and power.Since I am beginner, I cannot determine if this paddle improves my game, but it is certainly nicer than the rental ones I have been using at my local rec center.For $30 it a good deal.

This is a very good beginner paddle. This is an excellent beginner paddle for the price, and make no bones about it, this is a beginner level paddle, so my rating is for a beginner level paddle. I've only played with this paddle one time. With all the new paddles coming out on the market, I was curious to see how a paddle at this very low price would perform. I'm around a 4.0 to 4.0+ DUPR player depending on whether or not I'm having a good or bad day...LOL. I've got eight paddles, including this VeloPaddle. They range from the $300 Joola Pro IV Perseus to this $30 VeloPaddle. I'm not even going to compare this paddle to the Joola or any of my other top paddles (Honolulu Pickleball J2K, Double Black Diamond 6.0, etc.) as they are not in the same league, and they shouldn't be given the cost difference. I've also played with $60-$70 paddles that this VelloPaddle stands up to pretty well, especially given it's price. First of all, this paddle comes in a nice quality box with a foam cutout that the paddle lies in. There is also a roll of grip tape included. My Joola came in a cushioned bag with no extras at all. The feel of the paddle is nice. The weight is good and is comfortable in your hand, especially if you like a thinner grip. I played with this paddle on a warm and humid morning and the grip ramined fairly dry although having a towel hand is definitely recommended. Power on this paddle is OK but let's face it, if you're a beginner, power is the least of your worries. I wouldn't necessarily say there was a "sweet spot", but I also did not feel a "dead spot". If you hit the ball squarely you will get decent response from the paddle. Don';t expect the surface of this paddle to give you tremendous spin on the ball. Sping isn't just about the paddle surface, it's also about your technique to get the ball to spin and that's something most beginners aren't going to have mastered yet. It's a light paddle which probably feels more controlable to a beginner-level player and it certainly helps you to get the paddle from one position to another more quickly. Control is probably the number one issue with beginner players and this paddle provides enough control to help you learn to control your shots. It's not going to be as forgiving as a top tier paddle so if you want to spend $300 for control while you learn control, go ahead. I personally would spend that money differently, like on some good lessons, and spend my time drilling. As for the quality of this paddle, I have no idea. Like I said, I've had it for less than a week and only used it once so far. It feels like it has quality (for $30), but time will tell. In summary...If you are just starting out, this is a very good paddle. It "feels" and "sounds" like a real pickleball paddle and not like some of the ones that are a piece of balsa wood or aluminum that "clank" every time you hit the ball. It will certainly provide you with the opportunity to learn how to play the game, and since you will most likely be drilling or playing against other players at your level, it will give you an opportunity to be competitive with these players and all for the cost of two or three Starbucks coffees.

I needed another paddle to pair with my old one, so I decided to give this one a try. I’ve used it for a few games now, and I absolutely love it. Right out of the box, the quality and attention to detail really stood out. The paddle feels incredibly lightweight yet solid in hand. Highly recommend it, great value for the price!

Just started playing pickleball and needed a good paddle. For the price I feel confident when using this paddle and I love the weight to power ratio. It’s also very sleek and nice to look at.

This paddle is light and and has a great grip. Can easily be stored. It came in durable packaging, and a nice box. Great value for a good amazing racket.

The excellent spin performance of this racquet not only makes my shots more threatening, but also adds more variety and tactical options to my game.
